Petite Paloma x Petite Keep: Little Miss Cowgirl (and the Heirloom Boots Behind It)
At Petite Keep, we’re drawn to brands that build heirlooms – pieces made with intention, meant to be worn, loved, and passed down. That’s exactly why partnering with Petite Paloma felt so natural. Founded by Kelsey Crain and based in Dallas, Texas, Petite Paloma creates authentic, comfortable, sophisticated cowgirl boots for women and children, designed with inspiration from Kelsey’s southern roots, her family’s West Texas farm, and the beauty of Texas wildflowers.

For this collaboration, we brought Petite Paloma’s Little Miss Cowgirl print into the interior of our Keepsake Trunks, a nod to the cowgirl spirit at the heart of Kelsey’s brand, and a celebration of the memories made in those “favorite boots” seasons of life. And as a brand with deep roots in memory-keeping, it’s especially meaningful to partner with a Texas-founded business - Texas is one of our top-selling states, and we love celebrating the communities that show up for us in a big way.
A Conversation with Kelsey Crain, Founder of Petite Paloma
For anyone new to Petite Paloma: how do you describe the brand in one sentence?
We are an heirloom boot brand inspired by heritage and whimsy, creating joyful pieces meant to be worn, loved, and passed down.

Petite Paloma is known for it’s stunning heirloom boots —what does “heirloom” mean to you?
Heirloom is a reflection of the way we design and build our boots with intention by using traditional craftsmanship and thoughtful designs. Our heirloom boots hold both physical and emotional longevity.

We love memories as inspiration. What’s a specific memory or place that keeps showing up in your designs?
Being an eighth generation Floridian and Texan, I draw from both landscapes. My mother’s upbringing on a Texas Panhandle farm and my childhood on a Florida island continue to shape the brand, where Western heritage meets color, softness, and artistry.

Tell us about the Little Miss Cowgirl print: what was the idea behind it, and what feeling did you want it to capture?
The cowgirl toile was one of the first creative expressions of the brand. A close friend illustrated it by translating our brand story into a narrative print. The goal was to capture a sense of nostalgia and whimsy, something that feels feminine, timeless, and rooted in storytelling. This toile has lived in our iconic pink boot boxes, and now it will live in a Petite Keep Trunk.

Why did Petite Keep feel like the right brand for this collaboration?
Petite Keep felt like a natural partner because of the shared journey and values behind both brands. Lindsey Mullenger and I connected a few years ago when we were both early in our businesses, exchanging our first long phone call as we tried to figure out how the other “did it.” Looking back now, it’s special to see how far we’ve both come. Petite Keep has always felt like a brand bestie! Not just because of our parallel growth, but because we both believe in creating thoughtful products made for memories.

Do you have any traditional family keepsakes or traditions you hope to pass down to your little ones?
I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children, two of which are girls, so if I’m lucky, at least one or both will inherit an incredible collection of boots designed by their Mom!

What will you store in your Petite Paloma x Petite Keep Trunks?
First boots, first Chaps, first cowgirl hat, first rodeo tickets, first spurs!
This collaboration is a love letter to the pieces that carry stories – boots that walk through seasons of life, and a Trunk that holds onto what those seasons leave behind. We’re honored to partner with Kelsey and Petite Paloma on this special collab featuring Little Miss Cowgirl, and we can’t wait to see the memories you tuck inside.
