BTS: Bringing The World of Peter Rabbit™ to Life

Hello Petite Keep Family!

I'm Clara Peloquin, Senior Director of Brand here at Petite Keep, and I'm beyond thrilled to share the story behind our beautiful new collaboration: The World of Peter Rabbit™ x Petite Keep. This passion project has been nearly a year in the making, and I'm so excited to finally unveil it to you.

It all began in May 2024, when I had the privilege of meeting with the wonderful representatives from Peter Rabbit/Penguin Ventures. From that moment, a vision sparked in my mind – a storybook collaboration that would capture the timeless charm of Beatrix Potter's beloved characters. I immediately began crafting a mood board, delving into audience research, and immersing myself in the rich history behind Beatrix Potter and The World of Peter Rabbit™.

What resonated most was how this classic tale transcends generations. The soft pastels, the delicate artwork – it speaks to the hearts of both young and old. I knew we had to create a collection that felt equally special, soft, and heirloom-worthy.

We envisioned a complete storybook experience, culminating in a beautiful range of Easter Baskets, Keepsake Trunks (in three delightful colorways and two versatile sizes), and Baby's First Year Milestone Cards. Each piece was meticulously designed to embody the elegance and simplicity of Beatrix Potter's world, infused with the classic, attainable, and elegant designs that we've cultivated here at Petite Keep.

Maura Rowell, our lead designer, poured her heart into this project, translating Beatrix Potter's original sketches into stunning artwork that feels both timeless and fresh. We chose a palette of soft, enduring colors and incorporated elegant motifs that perfectly capture the spirit of Peter Rabbit. The Milestone Cards are playful, fun, and unisex - something that we know you'll treasure for a lifetime!

From there, we sampled out product and after ensuring each element felt exactly right, we sent samples off for photography, ensuring that each photo tells a story, and sets a scene for the full picture you are seeing today! Seeing this collection come to life has been an incredible journey. Every detail of this collaboration was infused with love and excitement. I truly believe this collaboration embodies the spirit of Peter Rabbit and the heirloom quality Petite Keep is known for.

P.S. If you were to ask me which piece is my absolute favorite, I'd have to say the Peter Rabbit Heritage print in our Petite Trunk. It's a stunning duo-tone design that beautifully evokes the essence of Peter Rabbit, while also offering a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from our usual style. It's truly something special.
