Behind the Print: Garden Gala

Meet Larsen McDowell, the Artist Behind Neely & Chloe for Petite Keep

Neely and Chloe for Petite Keep Larsen McDowell Feature

On the heels of launching Neely & Chloe for Petite Keep, an exclusive collection designed with brides in mind, we are honored to share a bit of the behind the scenes with the incredible artist who brought the collaboration's exclusive print, "Garden Gala," to life. It's our pleasure to introduce you to Larsen McDowell!

Wedding trends come and go but this collection's Signature Print is truly timeless! Where did you draw inspiration for the Garden Gala?

I think there is something so classic and beautiful about a big white bouquet that just feels so bridal. In our initial conversations around creating the print, I loved the idea of layering in some little nods to wedding traditions, that’s how I landed on the two bells hanging from the “something blue” ribbon. Overall I wanted to create something that felt timeless, elegant and true to both brands.

As a bride-to-be (congratulations, BTW!) what type of keepsakes have you held onto leading up to your wedding day and why?

I have a stationery business, so keeping all of my paper for our wedding in one place is super important to me! I have been saving every card and note from our friends and family since our engagement and I am so happy to have one place to store everything.

And now for the fun part - our PK 20 Question Quick fire Challenge (Bridal Edition)!

  1. What are your wedding colors and how did you choose them? We really wanted to pull from the flowers that will be in season in the garden as we are getting married in my parents yard. So the color palette was really informed by the pinks and greens of the zinnias and cosmos that are in season then.

  2. Handwritten or traditional vows? Handwritten

  3. Local or destination wedding? Local for my side and destination for my west coast fiancé’s side!

  4. Matching or different bridesmaids dresses? Different

  5. What has been your favorite part of the wedding planning process so far? The stationery!

  6. Are you opting for an intimate or large wedding ceremony and reception? Large

  7. Piece of advice for other brides-to-be? Relax
